Why You Should Be In Panama This Year
For those of you who want to visit the beautiful city of Panama in 2011, here is a small write up to give you a glance into what your holiday brings forth. Most wouldn’t think of Panama as an ideal destination, especially when you have in the north the foliage of Costa Rican forests and the mystical Colombia down south. But there are people who visit Panama city every year and 2011 wouldn’t be any different.
If you are interested in knowing as to where did the gold treasures of the Inca go, visit Panama. It is said by experts, that the gold went away to Portobello which is in Panama. It is a beautiful landscape between the coast of the Caribbean and Portobello. Pirates across the globe have always had their eyes on this position to have a grab of the real booty and the last attack by these sea criminals was in 1761. Portobello in Panama is now under the wings and protection of the UNESCO and if you would like to visit the place, you would have to travel there by an old train system. The train rushes through the canopy of forests and beaches meant for snorkeling and other fun activities these days. While on your way to Portobello, you would come across remnants of old forts along with the trails which was once used by pirates across Panama.
Another reason to get to Panama in 2011 would be the famous Parque de Amistad. It a well endowed park that stretches from Costa Rica all the way to the heart of Panama. The trail of the park is damp and dense, with every thing from shrubs to trees and huge bushes along its path. Once again the Panama attraction is protected by the UNESCO as a heritage site, just as in the case of Portobello. The flora and fauna of Parque De Amistad is mystical and enchanting. While you move across this place you would find animals on the trail, such as howler monkeys, Puma and the Jaguar to name a few, don’t miss the cherry eyed eagles that Panama boasts of. Two places to not miss would be the famous Volcan and the enchanting Changuinola.
Panama boasts of the famous “The Bridge of Life Museum”. Sources say it is a connection meant to bring close the two continents of America. Not only that, the locals look at it as a connection of hearts between people of both the AMERICA’s, the place and the environment, the culture, learning of science and art etc. Panama also welcomes you to the “Bocas del Toro Archipelago” which are islands in all its majestic beauty, with alluring waters in blue and coral reef treasures. The beaches are white and shiny, the people are laid back and the Panama is simply awesome to take in.
