A lot of Americans are homeless and many suffer from paying rent for an apartment for over a long period of time. Due to the dwindling economic state, many home owners are giving up their homes due to unpaid mortgages and house loans.

With the economic recession, real estate has decreased in its popularity among Americans who would rather rent a unit then to pay a house that they cannot seem to keep due to financial constraints. There is such a good news for homebuyers this 2010.

If you are contemplating of purchasing a new house for the first time, you may have heard of the fuzz and buzz regarding the 2010 Homebuyer Tax Credit which was promulgated by President Barack Obama as a housing stimulus to boost the real estate business. If you have been dreaming of owning your own house but you are afraid of the high mortgage to pay, then it is time to reconsider owning a home.

H.R. 3548 was signed into a law by President Obama for the extension and expansion of the homebuyers tax credit which was suppose to end on November of 2009. The new law was passed both in the House and the Senate by wide margins.

An added benefit of the 2010 homebuyers tax credit was a credit for individuals who are currently owning a house to purchase a new primary residence between November 7, 2009 to April 30, 2010.

According to the federal government, approximately 70 percent of homeowners will now be qualified for a credit should they opt to sell their current house and purchase a new home within the specified time frame.

If you already own a home, you can qualify for  up to $6,500 in your tax credit if you have lived in your current residence for the past five years or more and you have plans of purchasing a new house.

A generous tax credit is being offered by the government especially for first time home buyers. The amount of the credit is $8,000 which is a lot higher than the previous deal. This is to motivate people into investing for a house. Eventually the whole economy can move forward.

Before purchasing a home make sure you have discussed with your  real estate agent about the first time homebuyer tax credit. In this way, you can make sure that you meet all the requirements to be qualified to avail of this offer. In addition to the first time buyer credit, there is $6,500 if you buy another house given that you have lived in your current home for the past four years.

This Housing Stimulus can greatly help boost the purchasing power of the Americans in buying homes in this hard economy. Through the 2010 homebuyers tax credit, a lot of people can acquire their dream house.

Panama

Panama was formerly a Spanish Colony.  It only became independent from Columbia in 1903.  The Republic of Panama lies in the Isthmus of Panama, the 725-km-long neck of land that connects North America to South America. This is bounded on the south by the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea on the north.  Columbia is found in its  eastern  part while in the west lies Costa Rica. Panama has a land area of 3o, 193  square miles.
The low mountain chain that runs the length of the country is the dominant feature of Panama.  The central highlands are still forested heavily.  Most of these mountains are not inhabited. Baru Volcano formerly called Chiriqui Volcano is the highest point of the region.  It stands 3,475 meters near the western border.  The leading agricultural area of Panama is found along the pacific side of the central highlands. It is a rolling area.   The country has a tropical climate with high humidity and heavy rainfall.  Most  of the country is covered with dense tropical forest.  Its animal life includes anteaters, armadillos, tapir, small tigers and monkeys.
The country has a population of 3.2 million. Panama has a number of distinct racial and ethnic groups.  A bigger percentage of its population are  mestizo or mixed,  the remaining are  black,  white ,  Indians and other groups.  The official language of Panama is Spanish, however the  big number of its population speak  English.  Most of the Panamanians  adhere to Catholicsm, but the blacks retained their Protestant faith.
The capital and the biggest city of the country is Panama City. More or less one third of the country’s population reside in the metropolitan area of this city. Other important places in the country include Colon, its major port, the Caribbean terminus of the Panama Canal, Portobelo and David.
The government of Panama was controlled by Gen. Omar Torrijos Herrera, prior to the constitutional reforms in 1983. Its Defense Force exerted a strong role under him , but later under Gen Manuel Antonio Noriega.  The nation has a civilian government headed by a president who is elected for a term. Two vice presidents are also elected They assist the president together with an appointed   cabinet.  Also elected are  the members of the Unicameral Legislative Assembly.
The cash  crops of the Republic of Panama are bananas, coffee and sugarcane while the main food crops include rice, corn and beans.
Panama’s economy has been greatly influenced by the completion of the  world’s transportation artery  in 1914,  the Panama Canal.  This canal provides a lot of job opportunities and revenues to the country.  Most of the dominant service industries of the country function basically near the canal. Services include an important international  finance and banking sector which has helped , along with canal’s  tolls, to compensate for Panama’s trade deficit.
